As She Asks
A European best-seller in seven languages

Carrie Swearingen has co-authored As She Asks, a European best-seller by Father Jozo Zovko of Medjugorje. Available in seven languages, As She Asks has received rave reviews and has reached record-level purchases for a philosophical and spiritual, hard-covered coffee table book.

Father Jozo, depicted by Martin Sheen in the 1995 arts film Gospa, was the original pastor of St. James in Medjugorje, Bosnia-Hercegovina. Here, where six children reported apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary beginning in 1981, Father Jozo turned away from the possibility. Later, he heard a voice that told him to protect the children. He was imprisoned by Communist leaders, tortured and eventually released. As She Asks is a compilation of his meditations with accompanying photography by Joe Mixan, and all proceeds help to support the more than 3700 orphans of war currently under Father Jozo’s care. Second co-author: Geraldine Hemmings. Though As She Asks is now available in seven languages in Europe, it is only available in English in the United States.
